Biography: Gabrielle received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queen’s University and received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Columbia University. Her master’s research focused on the impact of health insurance coverage in the setting of expanded carrier screening. 

Gabrielle has worked as a clinical genetic counselor with Alberta Health Services as well as a lab genetic counselor with the Centre for Translational Genomics. Gabrielle has experience in the provision of genetics services to a wide range of patient populations. She has worked in varied disciplines including pediatrics, general genetics, cancer genetics, nephro-genetics, and prenatal care. She has prior experience counseling patients in a high-risk prenatal anomalies clinic, offering her expertise in fertility genetics, carrier screening, counseling for fetal ultrasound anomalies and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.
