Biography: Leslie graduated from the University of Toronto with her MSc in Genetic Counselling in 2014 and has since worked extensively in the area of pediatric disability and other clinical research. She’s now a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Assistant Program Director of the genetic counseling master’s program at Boise State University, while still continuing to be involved in research and clinical work. She is an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and currently sits on the research ethics board at the largest pediatric hospital in Canada. Leslie has a special interest in psychiatric/mental health genetics as well as helping individuals and families better understand the results from consumer-initiated genetic testing.
