Biography: Mary earned her M.S. in genetic counseling from Arcadia University in 2006 and was
board certified the following year. Mary has worked in multiple facets of the genetic counseling
field. She began her career at Elwyn, an organization serving people with developmental
disabilities, working with people with genetic syndromes and their families. She also was the
clinical coordinator for their Fragile X Center. Mary was employed by Quest Diagnostics as a
prenatal genetic counselor for two years before moving on to 83bar. At 83bar, she provided
genetic counseling for individuals with personal and family histories of cancer. For five years,
Mary was also an adjunct professor at Rowan University, teaching multiple courses in genetics
and biology.
Due to personal experiences, Mary has a special interest in cystic fibrosis. She is also an active
volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
