Biography: Rita is both an American and Canadian certified genetic counselor. Throughout her career, Rita has serviced individuals and their families in a multitude of genetics specialties. Not only has Rita empowered patients in the clinic, she has also made contributions to the genomic medicine research space. Some of this research work looked at how patients and their families were positively or negatively impacted by a variety of genetic results, including cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease.
